A Form Success Message Is Not a CRM Record
During a form demo, ask to see the record your team will actually work from.
The visitor sees "Thanks, we’ll be in touch." That tells you what the interface displayed. It does not, by itself, show that the enquiry reached the CRM or that anyone owns the follow-up.
Before choosing how to build the form, define what "received" means. Is the enquiry already in the CRM? Or has it been saved durably in your application, ready for a separate delivery process?
Either approach needs a clear handoff. If delivery is delayed, the team should be able to find the saved enquiry, see the failure and recover it. If nothing was saved, the interface must not claim that the enquiry was received.
For a B2B demo request, I would make the acceptance test follow one submission through the whole journey:
• The visitor submits valid information and gets an accurate response. • The receiving system stores a record with the agreed fields and source information. • The team can see who should follow up and whether the CRM handoff completed. • A simulated CRM failure leaves a visible, recoverable state rather than a missing lead.
Keep analytics separate. An event called "form_submit" can describe a browser interaction without proving that a customer record was created.
This is also a useful way to compare a React setup with a Next.js application. Start with the real interaction, then identify what runs in the browser, what requires server access and where that work will be hosted. The framework name does not define the handoff for you.
I cover that broader choice of responsibilities in Next.js Notes: https://nextjsnotes.org/next-js-vs-react-what-each-one-does-and-when-to-use-which/
