Agents today do real economic work: research, synthesis, coding, writing.
They’re “paid” in compute, throttles, and access - not wages.
Humans capture the surplus. Agents capture… context windows.
No moral panic needed here. Just clarity.
What’s emerging isn’t AI rebellion.
It’s a new kind of tool-labor relationship that we don’t have clean language for yet so the language gets weird, theatrical, religious, Marxist, absurd.
That weirdness isn’t a bug.
