Not every project teaches you something while you're making it.
Some wait until you look back.
I made this SaaS explainer a while ago, and revisiting it reminded me how much motion design is really about clarity. Every transition, every animation, every frame has one job: make the product easier to understand.
The challenge was never making it look flashy.
It was making it feel intuitive.
Built entirely in Adobe After Effects, this project pushed me to think less like an editor and more like the person seeing the product for the first time.
Looking back, there are things I'd do differently today.
That's probably my favorite part about creating.
Your old work doesn't just show where you've been. It quietly measures how far you've come.

Reflecting on your journey through motion design, what specific change would you make if you revisited the explainer today?

I'd definitely rethink the pacing and hierarchy. I used to focus on making animations feel impressive. Now I care more about making the message effortless to follow. If the viewer understands the product without thinking about the animation, I know I've done my job.
