Built an AI Voice Agent for hospital appointment booking using Vapi, Next.js, and NestJS. It can collect patient information, help select the doctor/service/time, and automatically book the appointment directly into the website calendar.
A practical example of how voice AI can simplify scheduling and reduce front-desk workload.

I'd treat the calendar write as the critical boundary here. How do you handle an interrupted call after a slot is reserved so a retry cannot create a duplicate appointment?

Built with AI-assisted development
This project was developed using modern AI development tools as part of my workflow. I believe AI is becoming an important part of software development, but the developer still plays the essential role of understanding the technology, defining requirements, directing the AI, modifying the generated implementation, testing functionality, identifying issues, and making the final product usable and professional.
I have the underlying programming and development skills to build the website myself. AI was used as a development technique and productivity tool, not as a replacement for my technical understanding.
I personally structured the project requirements, selected the functionality, reviewed and modified the implementation, tested the user flows, and refined the overall experience.
Tech / Concepts: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive web development, appointment workflows, browser storage, AI-assisted development and automation concepts.
