biggest problem… it had everything and i mean everything
about, features, product, … you name it they had it
don’t get me wrong, none of those pages were inherently wrong. it’s just that they didn’t need them yet. and i get why founders do it, makes you feel like you look more legit.
but this is where i have to push back… like a lot
a website shouldn’t be a filing cabinet for everything about the business
especially when the person landing on your site for the first time doesn’t care yet
so i cut everything down to 5 pages + pricing
they raised their seed round the next month
even better they started getting more signups
sometimes the better design decision isn’t figuring out how a page should look
it’s asking why the page should exist in the first place
