Day 1 of animating Maddie, A Little Ghost with a Secret 👻
This page introduces Maddie a sweet little ghost living in an old Texas mining town. I took the original book illustration, separated every character and background piece in Photoshop, then animated it all in After Effects to bring the scene to life. Added subtle movement, synced the text to the narration so kids can follow along word-by-word, and layered in background music to set the spooky but cozy mood.
Solo project, 2 weeks start to finish from flat art to fully animated read-aloud video.
