Which vase would you put on the shelf? One is opaque and matte lit: cobalt glazed ceramic twisting to a folded lip, terracotta wall with a recessed blue circle, eucalyptus leaning out and leaf shadow across the plaster.

The other is transparent and lacquered: amber glass looping into two necks on a sage disc, plum walls and a polished floor holding the reflection, one anthurium standing in the taller stem.
