Hi everyone! For the Envato Human By Design challenge, I created a conceptual sci-fi trailer for the epic book Golden Son, using Envato as my complete creative toolkit.

The story follows Darrow, a 16-year-old miner forced to work in the sweltering, brutal underground mines of Mars, who eventually rises up to fight in a majestic, high-tech space opera world.

I used AI to generate the foundational visuals of this massive universe, but here is my 'Human by Design' moment: bringing those worlds to life through atmosphere and sound design. (Show your video editing timeline on the screen)

AI can generate a stunning image of the dark Mars mines or an epic space fleet, but it can't tell you how those environments feel. That’s where my human intuition as a director came in. I went into the Envato Elements library to build the soul of these scenes.

For the mining scene, I layered heavy industrial drilling sound effects, a beating human heart, and flying sparks to make you truly feel the suffocating heat and suffering. Then, for the epic 'Iron Rain' space invasion, I combined cinematic fire overlays, camera shake, and deafening jet engine roars, perfectly synchronizing the visual cuts to the heavy drum beats of the Envato music track.

Envato gave me a beautiful canvas, but it was my human judgment with rhythm, sound design, and visual effects that transformed those images into an emotional, cinematic story.
