IRON REQUIEM — Grimdark Video Game Visual Direction
IRON REQUIEM is a grimdark industrial-gothic game where the last mechanized empire dies as its giant war-Titans fail one by one — and you're sent as a Requiem Knight to repair or mercy-kill each one before its collapse takes a city.
The visual world fuses cathedral gothic with brutal industrial machinery — rusted iron, oxidized brass, cracked energy-lattice conduits standing in for stained glass, flying buttresses made of pipework.
Color is locked to machine-state — Dying Amber at full power, Failing Cyan at collapse, Requiem Gold appearing only in the player's weapon and UI, never in the dying world.
Every UI screen functions as genuine usable game interface, forged from the world's own material language rather than a generic flat skin.
This is weight, dread, and reverence — never flashy for its own sake.
