Here’s my submission for the @paper x @contra challenge, it's a tool I built called Visual Poetry.
I write poems and randomly associate them with things like flowers or butterflies. I built this little tool that lets me turn the words in the poems into pixels to literally draw out any object (inspired by typewriter and ASCII art).
I used Pretext to render the text and Paper to tweak the whole UI, and used Cursor Agent to help me build it out.
I was super close to the deadline and finally managed to finish it up just in time, phew!

I built a fully playable chess game entirely inside @paper canvas using MCP + agents!
White vs Black — I played as White, the agent as Black.
We made real moves on the canvas, the agent validated rules, updated the board live, handled castling/check/checkmate, and tracked everything.

I created a new workflow with Paper's connected canvas.
Push a branch -> Claude Code read your Paper design via MCP -> boots the dev server -> then runs three diff passes automatically: visual, semantic, and image. The results land directly onto the canvas as a structured review artifact.
No Slack thread. No back-and-forth. The canvas becomes the design review.
I built it with Claude Code and Paper MCP inside Antigravity. The agent uses get_jsx to diff Tailwind classes node by node, analyzes semantic meaning of copy changes, and compares image fills with vision. It caught a hero gap deviation (gap-12 in code, gap-10 in Paper), a subhead measure narrowed from 560px to 520px, and copy drift from the Paper source, all before a single human review.
This is what a canvas connected to your repo, your agent, and your data looks like, and it's a workflow Paper's roadmap hasn't shipped yet!

Spent the weekend building a fun flow for the Paper x Contra challenge. ☀️
I take photos on my walks all the time, but they mostly just sit in my camera roll.
I wanted a way to make something out of them, preferably something I'll be inclined to come back to. I’ve always liked scrapbooks, just never did them digitally.
So, I text photos and a caption to a Telegram bot. An agent picks it up, reads the mood, chooses a layout, adapts it, and uses Paper’s MCP to generate a page. It places the images, adds different stickers and sets a quote!
It then sends it back to me as a finished spread, so I can view it right away.
Currently feeling much more excited about font walks, color walks and daily park walks.
Building small collections as I go! :)
