Really love this. One small suggestion: i noticed the section below uses sharper card edges, while the cards in this section are more rounded. I think keeping one corner style throughout would make the whole design feel more cohesive. Personally id go with the sharper edges....

Tying the reveal to a flashlight cursor rather than a scroll-progress fade gives people a reason to actually move the mouse across the row instead of just scrolling past it — the interaction does work the fade wouldn't.

The flashlight reveal earns its keep because it ties the interaction to the content. I'd still test a reduced motion fallback and the mobile version. Horizontal scroll can turn into a fight with the page on smaller screens.

The flashlight pulling the eye across the row is the smart part, it makes the horizontal scroll feel intentional instead of hijacked. On touch I would swap the cursor reveal for a tap-to-focus state so mobile still gets the payoff.
