Aetherion — Rise of the Last Light
Aetherion is an original fictional fantasy game website created for the Squarespace Make It Real Challenge.
The project began as a complete visual concept designed in Figma. My goal was to transform that interface into a functional, immersive, and responsive Squarespace website while preserving the cinematic atmosphere and storytelling of the original design.
This was my first complete project using Squarespace. Throughout the process, I learned how to adapt a custom Figma concept to Squarespace’s layout system, native design controls, responsive behavior, and available Finish Layer features.
Aetherion was developed as a complete website template for a fictional game universe. The experience includes a cinematic homepage, original characters, gameplay content, fantasy environments, lore, platform information, community links, age ratings, newsletter content, and responsive layouts for desktop and mobile devices.
The main design challenge was translating a highly visual gaming interface into a structured website without losing its immersive identity. I carefully adjusted image composition, typography, spacing, hierarchy, navigation, section transitions, and responsive behavior to create a consistent experience across screen sizes.
I used Squarespace’s native tools and the Finish Layer features available in my workspace to refine block positioning, movement, scaling, visual composition, and responsive presentation.
Although I was learning the platform while building the project, I completed the website as a polished and responsive template. The process allowed me to transform an original idea from Figma into a real digital experience and significantly expand my understanding of Squarespace as a professional design platform.
