Lately I've been thinking a lot about where I stand in the world of Product Design. As a (sorta) Cinephile, storytelling is a huge skill for me, and when I started thinking about the intersection of User Experience, Storytelling, and Technology, Game Design sits perfectly in the middle.
So I signed up for CalArt's Game Design certification on Coursera. I'm currently at the tail end of the first course, but wanted to share my most recent assignment - a concept that brings narrative to a game that can be played with just a pen and paper.
One of my peers pointed out that this would translate really well into a web based minigame (subtle foreshadowing). But in the meantime, why don't you give it a try and see how quick you can solve the mystery (spoilers in the comic).
