Little Reaper — Small Hood. Big Harvest. 💀🌙
My submission for the Rive × Contra Halloween Challenge!
Meet Little Reaper: a tiny grim reaper exploring haunted catacombs, eerie stairways, and moonlit cliffs with a curved scythe and a few bone stars for company.
Built with Rive CLI, the game features sword combos, double jumps, dashes, airborne strikes, and enemy encounters across three maps. Painted environments, drifting fog, glowing projectiles, and original sound effects bring its Halloween world to life.
This project became an exploration of game feel: making movement responsive, attacks satisfying, and enemy warnings readable. Every playtest helped shape the next iteration.

Every horror game gives you a flashlight. This one gives you a TV with four channels, and you can only watch one.
Don't Look Away is a night shift at WDLA 1310 AM, a radio station, on Halloween 1987 (fictional). The exit is locked with three keys, each hidden in a room you can only see through the booth's old CRT. Two monsters live in the building, and they only move when nobody is watching them.
So you:
• turn the TV's tuning knob between four cameras, with static in between
• sweep the camera light to find each key, while brass decoys catch the light too
• hold a fire door shut by hand when something knocks, which means looking away from the cameras
• get caught, or walk out at dawn
Built with the Rive CLI and GPU Canvas. Claude Code wrote the scene, HUD and state machines in RML, a WGSL shader lights every room live, the monster AI runs on Luau scripting, and the HUD runs on data binding. We hand-animated the jump scares in the Rive Editor.

DOOMSWIPE -- Doomscrolling for monsters -- is my entry for the Rive Halloween Challenge!
This is what comes out when you pour an ounce of CLI, a drop of GPU Canvas, a spoon of craft, a cup of scripting, a web of state machine transitions, and a ton of intention into building something w/ Rive 🎃
This is a game idea that has been knocking about in my to-do list for a long time, and the Rive Halloween challenge came at exactly the right time to finally make my ultimate pumpkin carving simulator. I took great care to balance a realistic look with stylized graphics, and to give players enough tools to express themselves without overwhelming them with a full-on sculpting suite.
Built with both the Rive CLI and GPU Canvas. The scene is written in RML with a coding agent through the CLI, and three WGSL shaders render the 3D pumpkin: carved relief, cut walls, candlelight glowing through thin flesh, light shafts and smoke. Luau scripting runs the carving, undo and falling pieces, with data binding and a state machine driving the controls.
