A product about proof has to get the order right.

I just published Provly on Contra, an iPhone app concept for people who cancel a subscription and still get charged later.

The app keeps the proof in one place, connects the day you asked to cancel with the day you were charged, and turns the record into a dispute pack you can send to your bank.

One of the biggest design rules was simple: red should not be decoration. On the record, vermilion marks the charge that needs attention.

And one of the most important fixes happened before publishing: the timeline was almost backwards. The merchant message came at 2:41 PM, my note came at 2:52 PM, but the first board stacked them the wrong way. In a product about proving what happened when, that had to be corrected.
