This premium cafe didn't even have a website. But after sitting down with the founders, I realised a simple landing page wouldn't cut it. They were running multiple locations entirely in the dark... bleeding time and revenue to manual spreadsheets and chaotic WhatsApp groups.
Using Base44, I built exactly what they asked for: a fully autonomous Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform that handles everything from customer interactions to executive analytics.
⚙️ Founder Requests & The Features I Built:
"We need a premium digital presence"
1. Customer-Facing Web App: A dark, glassmorphic UI matching their high-end artisanal brand.
2. AI Coffee Sommelier: A customer-facing LLM that curates personalized bean and drink recommendations based on taste profiles.
"Stop the manual inventory chaos"
1. Custom Barista POS Terminal: A sleek, fully functional point-of-sale interface.
2. Live Recipe Engine: Automatically calculates exact ingredient milligrams per drink and helps with new employees onboarding.
3. Autonomous Supply Chain: Live-deducts POS orders directly from the Supabase inventory.
4. Zero-Click Procurement: Autonomously emails the owner when any stock drops below 20%.
"Reduce our equipment downtime"
1. AI Maintenance Troubleshooter: An internal LLM that walks baristas through fixing broken hardware on the spot.
2. Real-Time Escalation Sync: Unresolved machine issues are instantly pushed to the Owner’s Dashboard.
"Give us actionable business insights"
1. Owner Command Center: A live executive dashboard with robust data visualization, revenue graphs, and order tracking.
2. Executive AI Auto-Manager: An LLM that constantly cross-references live sales data with maintenance logs to uncover hidden operational insights (e.g., correlating a revenue drop to a specific grinder failure).
The Result: Coffee Jar went from zero digital footprint to operating with the sophistication of a global franchise.

For my #base44giveitaglowchallenge submission, I chose to elevate a real local business: Porta, a cafe with massive floor space, an extensive menu, and an incredible physical interior that their online presence just wasn't matching.
I didn’t just want to build a pretty landing page—I wanted to build a working digital system that actually helps them run the cafe. Using @Base44, I gave them a complete digital glow-up:
✨ The Vibe: An elegant, mobile-responsive frontend featuring high-end typography and a custom color palette pulled directly from their physical space to keep the branding seamless.
⚙️ The Engine: I built out working automations, including a live table reservation system, seamless online ordering with drink customization, and a digital loyalty program.
📊 The Backend: To make this a true operational tool, I created a custom internal order dashboard so the baristas can manage live tickets effortlessly during a rush.

Everyone says AI is taking over creative work. So, for the @envato "Human by Design" challenge, I decided to test that theory by making a coffee commercial.
I asked AI to generate the base footage. The result? Perfectly lit, technically flawless, and completely soulless. It felt like a sterile dentist’s waiting room.
This is where I had to step in. My instinct told me the pacing was entirely wrong. Coffee isn't about slow-motion perfection; for most of us, it’s about survival. It needs grit. It needs to feel like a frantic Monday morning urban rush. AI couldn't understand that feeling, so I had to shape it. I rejected the sterile vibe and completely changed course.
Here is how I used my Envato toolkit to bring the soul back into the project:
🎵 The Beat: I ditched the generic AI background music and dug through Envato Elements to find a heavy-hitting, underground hip-hop track. That specific bass drop became the heartbeat of my entire edit.
🎞️ The Texture: To kill that "plastic" AI look, I layered raw film grain and light leak overlays from Envato. Perfection is boring; the grit makes it real.
💥 The Pacing: I chopped the AI footage to perfectly sync with the track's snare hits, layering organic Envato sound effects (espresso steam, heavy footsteps) and a kinetic typography template to make the final cut aggressive, fast, and human.
AI is an incredible starting line, but human judgment is the finish line. Knowing when the pacing is off, when a color feels wrong, and when to reject a "perfect" output to build something powerful that's what actually makes the work good.
