Everyone says AI is taking over creative work. So, for the @envato "Human by Design" challenge, I decided to test that theory by making a coffee commercial.
I asked AI to generate the base footage. The result? Perfectly lit, technically flawless, and completely soulless. It felt like a sterile dentist’s waiting room.
This is where I had to step in. My instinct told me the pacing was entirely wrong. Coffee isn't about slow-motion perfection; for most of us, it’s about survival. It needs grit. It needs to feel like a frantic Monday morning urban rush. AI couldn't understand that feeling, so I had to shape it. I rejected the sterile vibe and completely changed course.
Here is how I used my Envato toolkit to bring the soul back into the project:
🎵 The Beat: I ditched the generic AI background music and dug through Envato Elements to find a heavy-hitting, underground hip-hop track. That specific bass drop became the heartbeat of my entire edit.
🎞️ The Texture: To kill that "plastic" AI look, I layered raw film grain and light leak overlays from Envato. Perfection is boring; the grit makes it real.
💥 The Pacing: I chopped the AI footage to perfectly sync with the track's snare hits, layering organic Envato sound effects (espresso steam, heavy footsteps) and a kinetic typography template to make the final cut aggressive, fast, and human.
AI is an incredible starting line, but human judgment is the finish line. Knowing when the pacing is off, when a color feels wrong, and when to reject a "perfect" output to build something powerful that's what actually makes the work good.

Shaders are powerful but somewhat hidden, so I created Wonder Shader Lab, a curated gallery that shows a list of cool shader effects you can use in website design.
I counted 95 main categories of shader effects, with each category having 2 to 6 or 8 different variations. The page includes live examples and simple instructions on how to apply shaders as background and text effects.

95 categories is a serious amount of cataloging, that alone is a useful reference even without the Wonder file. Do you plan on keeping the gallery updated as new shader types get added, or is this more of a snapshot?
