"The Founder's Table" follows Denise Okafor, a self-made CEO whose grind nobody ever sees. As a girl, she knew she wanted to lead — she just didn't know what yet. Years later, working as a waitress while chasing a dream of running her own kitchen, she's let go when her restaurant's customer volume drops. Instead of chasing another job, Denise turns the loss into her turning point: she teaches herself business operations and analytics from scratch, then builds a virtual assistant agency that helps struggling restaurant owners fix what's broken and scale. Inspired by the case-driven structure of Law & Order: SVU, each episode functions as its own contained "case" while an underlying arc builds across the season: Denise confronting her own history in the industry that once let her go, deciding whether to stay a solo operator or build an agency, and eventually facing a client whose business mirrors the very restaurant that fired her. The series is grounded in a true story, giving it the weight of something that actually happened rather than a fictional rags-to-riches arc.
