šŸ“‹ Project Description
MEDORA — Rural Clinic Command Dashboard
MEDORA is a front-end command dashboard designed for rural healthcare clinics operating in low-resource, high-pressure environments. The core problem it solves is real — rural clinic staff in developing regions manage critical patient triage, medicine inventory, and emergency protocols using paper ledgers and disconnected systems. MEDORA replaces that chaos with a single, unified, beautifully designed interface.
The dashboard features 11 fully connected screens including a live patient triage feed with AI-assisted severity classification, a color-coded medicine inventory tracker with critical stock alerts, a real-time appointments calendar, staff management, analytics reporting, and a one-click Crisis Mode that transforms the entire UI into a mass casualty command center. Every screen maintains pixel-perfect design consistency using a warm editorial design language inspired by professional medical SaaS products.
šŸ› ļø How I Used Stitch
I approached Stitch as a serious design engineering tool rather than a simple prompt box. My workflow had three layers:
First I created a comprehensive DESIGN.md file defining the complete design system — exact color tokens, typography hierarchy using Inter Tight 800 weight with -0.028em letter spacing, animation curves using cubic-bezier(0.22, 0.61, 0.36, 1) at 360ms, and component-level spacing rules. This gave Stitch a precise visual language to work within before generating a single screen.
Second I engineered each prompt with five specific layers — layout structure, color specification, typography instruction, animation behavior, and interaction design. This multi-layer prompting approach produced screens with production-grade polish including micro-interactions, staggered fade-in animations, hover states, and smooth panel transitions.
Third I used Stitch's iterative chat interface to refine each screen progressively, uploading previous screens as reference to maintain consistency across all 11 connected prototype screens.
šŸ’¬ Feedback on Stitch Platform
Stitch is genuinely impressive as an AI-native design tool. The ability to ingest a DESIGN.md file and maintain that visual system across multiple generated screens is something no traditional design tool offers. The gap between prompt and production-ready output is remarkably small when prompts are engineered with precision.
The multi-screen prototype flow works intuitively — each screen generation builds naturally on the previous context. The warm paper texture, coral accent system, and Inter Tight typography translated faithfully across all 11 screens with minimal correction needed.
If I could suggest one improvement — a component locking feature that preserves sidebar and header elements automatically across screens would reduce prompt complexity significantly. Overall Stitch accelerated a design process that would typically take weeks into a single focused session. That is genuinely revolutionary for solo developers and designers.
