First week on Contra, done ✨
Coming from Upwork, this has definitely been a bit of a learning curve, but I’ve been enjoying it so far. Gonna be honest, by day 3 I wasn’t fully into it yet.
I started with a discover score of 53 and I’m now at 86, which honestly just makes me want to keep improving and see how far I can take it.
Any advice for newbies here on Contra? 👀

Hey everyone, I’m new on Contra 👋
Still trying to understand how things work here, how clients connect, how people grow, and how freelancers actually build their journey step by step.
But one thing I do know…
the people earning here today probably started exactly where I am right now.
I’ve seen so many talented people grow on this platform, build careers, earn online, support their families, and create opportunities for themselves. And honestly, that inspires me a lot. 💫
I won’t lie — I know it’s not easy.
Success here didn’t come overnight for anyone. People worked hard, stayed consistent, learned new skills, faced rejection, and kept going until things finally started working for them.
And now… I want to do the same.
I want to learn.
I want to improve myself.
I want to work hard.
And I want to build something meaningful for myself and my family one day. ❤️
Right now, I’m still a beginner.
I honestly don’t know everything yet — how to find clients, how to grow faster, or how to stand out here. But I’m willing to learn everything step by step.

This project took far longer than I expected, mostly because I kept rebuilding parts of it trying to get the overall feeling right. Not “better”. Not “more impressive”. Just more intentional.
A huge amount of time went into typography rhythm, spacing, interaction pacing, transitions, and reducing the interface down to only the elements that actually mattered.
I never wanted this to feel like another trendy agency portfolio overloaded with effects. The goal was to create something more restrained, more atmospheric, and more immersive while scrolling through it.
Everything was designed and developed by me in Webflow ⚡
Really grateful that the project later got featured on Awwwards and received Site of the Day on CSS Design Awards!
