Cookie Draft Update Three: This week was foundation: research, structure, naming, and componentizing. This week has been a little busy for me, so I love that I can say the component tree is built and named, the toolbars and flyouts are locked, and every design decision is written down with its reasoning (somewhere), including what I cut from the MVP to keep the scope tied to the core flow.
From here, I'm doing a light visual and quick design pass, double-checking WCAG, balance, and naming conventions before locking everything in. I've been testing some options, and now that the content is in place, I can vibe check and apply everything through my global system. I'm keeping the visual design loose and the structure strong. I'm one person, and I don't want to over-engineer the rules to the point where the AI recreates instead of elevates. I want to give it enough to know the corners are round and we're using this specific dusty rose, then let it make the icing look real in a fraction of the time it would take me to create the layered effects.
This weekend, I'll package, document, and write my kickoff prompt to cross into Figma Make with CookieDraft.
Working with Figma Weave has taught me a lot about rich and negative prompting, and it makes me wonder how different styles yield different results. What are some things that have helped you when working with Figma Make? How do you get the results you're looking for? • Cookie Draft Update One Cookie Draft Update Two
