I've been active as an independent on @contra for over 2 years now.
This year also marks 3+ years of building high-converting Shopify pages with Replo, and honestly, I can say Contra has been a huge part of my growth as an independent.
It’s been amazing having one place to work with great clients, manage projects and payments, and showcase the work I’m proud of.
Big thanks to @contraben and the entire Contra team for what they’re building and the opportunities they continue to create for independents.

Feels good to see the work, consistency, and showing up start to add up.
From joining Contra to reaching the top 1% of creatives, and now crossing $1k… pretty wild when I think about it.
Grateful for the clients, opportunities, lessons, and growth along the way.

Just wrapped up this high-converting Shopify product page for Haloven, designed and built in Replo. 🚀
The focus was simple: turn product interest into purchase confidence through strong offer presentation, social proof, customer testimonials, product education, comparison, trust signals, and CRO-focused UX.
The client loved the final result and said she’d happily recommend my work to others. 🙌
Built with Replo + Shopify + CRO thinking.
Nice work. Putting the guarantee badge next to the testimonials instead of on a separate policy page is the right call, that kind of trust signal only helps if it shows up right when someone is deciding.
Two months later: 141 → 158. Still top 5%.
Last time I posted, my Contra Discovery Score was 141.
Today it’s 158, and I’m still in the top 5% of creatives.
A few things changed since then.
I became a Lummi Expert, which gave me an expert badge, featured placement, and more visibility inside Contra.
I also stopped treating my portfolio like a gallery and started treating it more like proof.
Recently I added a full Aegir Aqua case study series:
Brand identity, packaging & 3D
Presentation design
Website design & development
Same client, but split into separate case studies so each type of work is easier for clients to understand.
That has probably been the biggest portfolio improvement for me lately.
I’m also still sending proposals consistently.
That part hasn’t changed.
My last post was basically saying: if your profile is already strong, the problem is often not the profile it’s volume.
I still believe that.
But now I’d add one thing:
Volume gets you seen. Proof gets you taken seriously.
A strong proposal gets the click.
A strong case study gives the client a reason to stay.
And having both working together is where things start compounding.
So the progress since August:
