Braids by Tolu: Solo Braiding Studio, Lagos Booking braids sounds simple. Until a client sends "how much for medium knotless, waist length?" Now Tolu has to quote the price, explain the sizes, work out whether a 7-hour style fits her Saturday, haggle over dates, then check a transfer screenshot against her bank app. For a stylist who works alone, that's about 20 messages before anything is confirmed. And when a client doesn't show, she's already paid for the hair. So I built Braids by Tolu around a simple idea: Tolu should braid. The app should handle the bookings. She pastes a DM, even one in pidgin, and the AI writes the reply with the price and real open slots. One tap sends it. The client builds her style, sees how long it'll actually take, picks a time that fits, and pays the deposit. And because this is Lagos, traffic delays, late changes and cancellations are built into the booking itself. Clients can say they're running late, and cancelled slots get offered to the waitlist.
