Infinite Stairs is a Halloween endless runner: a tower with no top and a spiral staircase that never ends. Jump the goblins and spiders, duck the bats, and slash the skeletons with your sword.
I wanted a game that looks made by hand, and I wanted to make it fast. The characters started as pencil drawings. I built the scene in Blender and the game in Rive, using its CLI, GPU Canvas, and also the new brush tools from rive.
Unique art direction and color palette, wobbly hand-drawn bricks, a one-bit dithered background and grainy textures. 47 iterations in just over a week.

My submission for the Rive × Contra Halloween Challenge!
Meet Little Reaper: a tiny grim reaper exploring haunted catacombs, eerie stairways, and moonlit cliffs with a curved scythe and a few bone stars for company.
Built with Rive CLI, the game features sword combos, double jumps, dashes, airborne strikes, and enemy encounters across three maps. Painted environments, drifting fog, glowing projectiles, and original sound effects bring its Halloween world to life.
This project became an exploration of game feel: making movement responsive, attacks satisfying, and enemy warnings readable. Every playtest helped shape the next iteration.

Meet Ollie, a skating wizard with a cursed board. Roll, grind and trick through a haunted graveyard while a horde chases you. Every trick unleashes a power, and every enemy shatters into pieces that fly and bounce with real physics. It felt so good that I added a car mode, just for fun. Drive through the horde and smash fences, tombstones and pumpkins.
Built with the Rive CLI + Claude Code. The 3D world, the shaders (HDR lighting, shadows, ambient occlusion, depth of field) and the game logic are scripted in Luau with the GPU canvas. The menus, HUD, and animations are Rive components with data binding and state machines, and the wizard and skeletons in the main menu are rigged and animated in Rive.
Over 40 3D models, 80+ images and nearly 30 sound effects, all in a single Rive file.
