Feature Documentary Direction: Egyptian Jeanne d'Arc

A feature documentary exploring the archetype of the sacred warrior through the journey of a young Egyptian woman during the 2011 uprising.

The film premiered in the Muhr Feature Competition at the Dubai International Film Festival, screened at the Cairo International Film Festival, and received a post-production grant from the Takmil Workshop at Carthage. Nominated for the Robert Bosch Arab-German Film Prize. Community screenings organized in Palestine, Sudan, Amman, and Tunisia with local partner organizations.

The Relevance for Client Work: A feature film is a multi-year, multi-partner startup. Directing this film required managing shared authorship across four cultures (Egypt, France, Kuwait, Germany), holding narrative tension across a 90-minute emotional arc, and translating layered political material into an accessible cinematic story. Every one of those skills transfers directly to the brand narrative, launch campaigns, and founder positioning work I do for private clients.
