Added a FAQ section today. Never stop iterating, amiright? This is a simple, straightforward site meant to showcase my past work and experience. It's pretty low-key on purpose, nothing too fancy. No templates or AI, just lil ole me doing the thing in Framer with an assist from Figma here and there. So many of you here on Contra have inspired me and continue to inspire me every day. Low key on purpose is such an underrated choice, half the portfolio sites I see are overdesigned to the point they distract from the actual work. Did doing it solo without templates change how long the whole build took compared to your client projects?

I agree! Especially with a portfolio site, the focus should be on your actual portfolio pieces, so it's counterproductive to distract from that. I've never been a template user. I find them too much work to unwind someone else's idea and make it my own. What I do is set up...
