This self-initiated portfolio concept explores how educational travel content can be transformed into a striking, visually immersive Pinterest experience.
The objective was to create an attention-grabbing design that feels like a premium travel magazine cover while retaining the clarity and usefulness of a digital educational pin.
Creative Concept
The project centers on the idea of capturing memorable travel experiences through photography.
Rather than presenting photography advice through a conventional instructional template, the design places viewers directly inside a vibrant Mediterranean coastal setting.
A female traveler holding a camera becomes the central storytelling element, surrounded by colorful cliffside architecture, dramatic coastal scenery, and travel-inspired details.
The composition is intended to communicate exploration, creativity, and the excitement of documenting new destinations.
Art Direction & Visual Identity
The visual direction combines cinematic travel photography with expressive editorial collage.
A dramatic sunset sky introduces saturated violet, magenta, and golden tones, while the coastal architecture adds warmth and depth.
Bougainvillea, clipped photographs, travel accessories, and layered graphic details help establish an immersive atmosphere.
The contrast between natural scenery and expressive editorial elements gives the design a distinctive personality.
Typography & Composition
Typography is treated as a major visual element rather than simply a supporting layer.
