Buried in permafrost 100 years from now, it evolves into an archive of extinction, haunting evidence of what climate change erased. Finally, in a modern museum, it achieves institutional immortality as part of human civilization's legacy.
The central insight: the painting never changes, but its meaning does. The same artwork means something entirely different depending on the world it inhabits. By exploring these four contexts, the work asks: What does art actually preserve? Is it the object itself, or the human choice to save it? In a world facing existential challenges, 'Timeless' suggests that our relationship to art—the act of keeping it alive—might be the most human thing we do."::

Custom hand-drawn illustration created for Snow Ride Nordic Pilsner, a collaborative beer release by Portage Brewing Company and Otso Cycles.
Inspired by winter cycling and the forests of Minnesota, the artwork was featured on the beer's packaging.
A single-ink forest pattern wraps well on a can because there's no focal point to get lost across the seam. Did you have to thicken the linework once it went to print, or did the fine detail hold up on the aluminum?
