We rarely think about what it costs a woman to be first. The first female doctor who was laughed out of lecture halls. The first astronaut who had to fight to be taken seriously. The first engineer in a room full of men who doubted her before she spoke. They gave; their comfort, their safety, their energy, long before they gained recognition. But here's what they couldn't have known: every ceiling they cracked became a window for the girl who came after. That is the truest form of #GiveToGain. To every woman who stayed in the room when it was easier to leave, thank you. You gave more than you'll ever know. Happy International Women's Day.
