I’ve been actively building my Contra profile for the past two months, consistently adding projects, improving my portfolio, and staying active on the platform.
I’m a freelance architectural designer and 3D visualizer, offering architectural visualization, 3D modeling, and rendering services.
However, I still haven’t received my first client or project offer.
For those who are already getting clients through Contra:
What actually helped you get your first client?
Did you focus more on applying to opportunities, posting in the community, improving your profile, networking, or something else?
I’d really appreciate practical advice from people who have been through the same stage, especially things you wish you had known when you were starting out.
I've been using Contra for a while now, mostly as a place to showcase our work.
But lately I've been wondering how people actually use the platform to get hired.
Is it the projects you publish? Your profile?
Being active in the community? Applying to jobs?
We've had clients find us through different places, but Contra still feels a little different to me. There's the portfolio side, the community side, the job side, and I'm not sure how much each one actually matters.
So I'm curious: if you've gotten projects through Contra, what actually worked for you?
I'd especially love to hear from people who've been using it for a while, not just what you're supposed to do, but what actually led to a project.

Nowhere else is it this seamless to collaborate with high-tier.
