Hey Contra — new here but figured I’d share what I’ve been building.
I’ve been posting progress on Twitter, but quick look at where Desk Doodles is at.
It’s basically a canvas that takes any drawing, SVG, or image and pushes it through different hand-drawn treatments — rough sketch, bold ink, stipple, charcoal, etc.
The fun part is that every mark-making modifier is controllable. Wobble, multi-stroke, shading, pen tips, texture, all that stuff.
The fun part is its going to become a live canvas people around the world can put thier own object. Think of it like a desk as a public space!
The bigger goal is an intelligent design system that can look at the source and pick the right treatment per region automatically. So it’s not just “slap a filter on it.” It’s more like the system understanding what kind of marks should go where.
Where it’s at right now:
/audit — 197 reference shapes rendering through every style in real time. This is mostly the engine testbed.
/playground — pick items, place them, tweak modifiers live.
SVG upload is working too.
Still need to ship drawing → 3D, complex SVG → 3D, public canvas, and mode switching.
But yeah, that’s where I’m at right now.

Day 1 | Phase 1
I may be joining the Config Makeathon a little later than most participants, but with 10 days still on the clock, I'm documenting the entire journey from idea to final submission.
Today marks Phase 1: Discovery & Definition for my project, Access Atlas.
Before designing a single screen, I wanted to understand the problem deeply.
Today's Focus :
Defined the problem statement
Identified the core solution
Outlined the product's unique value proposition
Listed must-have experiences and features
Defined the target audience
Conducted a brainstorming session to map every accessibility attribute that could influence a user's experience
The Problem
Millions of people encounter accessibility barriers every day, but most places only provide fragmented, generic, or outdated accessibility information.
The challenge isn't just knowing whether a place is accessible.
It's knowing whether it's accessible for you.
The Solution
Access Atlas is a personalized accessibility intelligence platform that helps people understand how accessible a location is for their specific needs before they visit.
Instead of a one-size-fits-all accessibility rating, users receive insights tailored to their personal accessibility profile.
Key Question Driving This Project
"How can we move beyond generic accessibility labels and create truly personalized accessibility insights?"
That question is shaping every decision moving forward.
