Is Generative AI ready for "Blue Chip" documentary production?
I was challenged to find out.
The brief was technical: deliver 5 unconnected clips to test temporal stability, physics, and texture integration. They wanted to see if AI could handle the "uncanny valley" of nature documentaries, dappled light on skin, physically pushing foliage, and massive herd simulations.
Instead of delivering a tech demo, I delivered a film.
I created "The Explorer", a narrative short that hits every technical requirement while telling a story.
The verdict? With the right workflow (Midjourney + Nano Banana + Kling/Veo), we aren't just close. We are there.
