It's been a couple of rough months on Contra, but that doesn't discourage me to stop creating. I've always had some trouble sitting down to read any book. So, I bought something to fix that: a small e-reader called XTEINK X4. Even before I received it, I had the idea to do something with it. With no technical experience whatsoever, I decided to crate an app to sync my reading progress on the go. By using Claude Code and Codex, I was able to have a working prototype in a couple of days. A prototype that I spent a lot of time refining for some weeks. I launched the app some weeks ago with 0$ spent on ads, just a couple of organic posts here and there. Luckily, the app started to gain some traction and I even got a few monthly subscriptions! Yesterday, I got the notification that someone bought an annual plan of the app. It's something so small but I devoted to much time to it that seeing a little bit of appreciation means everything to me.
