My 4-step process for designing a logo: 01 — Get to know the brand First, I try to understand the brand, what they do, who they’re talking to, and what they want to say. 02 — Sketch, sketch, sketch Then I start putting ideas on paper. Nothing has to be perfect here, just exploring different directions and seeing what sticks. 03 — Refine the good stuff Once I have a few solid ideas, I start cleaning things up, shapes, type, spacing, colors, and all the little details. 04 — Make it ready to use Finally, I polish the chosen direction and make sure the logo works across different sizes, platforms, and applications. That’s pretty much it — research → ideas → refine → final.
