How good is Claude Design as a brand designer?
I love Claude but this experiment is the perfect example that AI is way better at refining, implementing, and building on ideas than it is at actually coming up with strong visual direction on its own, even with a strong strategy deck. Especially in branding.
AI doesn’t have great taste (sorry, someone had to say it 😅 ) so without clear references or visual guidelines, the outputs feel very generic and a lot of the time...well, cheap or outdated.
It can understand words like “hydration” and “performance.”
But it doesn’t understand the feeling the brand is supposed to create.
And branding is literally about building a world people want to belong to.
Would you let Claude Design do your branding?
Claude Design is great at vocabulary and terrible at vibe — it can render “hydration” but not “why a 38-year-old man would pay $48 for it.” Branding is identity formation, not asset generation, and identity needs taste and tension. The way I use it now: feed it a finished mood...

Context is everything. You can have the best tech in the world, but without that deep community knowledge, the automation and design won't hit the mark. It’s all about turning those years of context into a seamless journey for the creator. Great take!
Day 5 of my Personal Daily Creative Challenge
This one was a bit of a shift from design into building.
I explored using Claude Code to turn the Demetra concept into a faux 3D interactive asset.
Still early, but it’s been interesting using AI as a creative collaborator rather than just a tool, especially for translating ideas into something interactive much faster.
Impressive work
Brand work doesn't end when the manual gets delivered. Branding is only effective when it's smoothly applied across mediums - decks, emails, websites, social media, print assets.
For DealDesk, we built an extensive template system: presentation decks, social media posts, one-pagers. The goal was to equip early-stage founders to keep asset production costs low while maintaining perfect brand alignment. Every template follows the same visual logic: confident typography, controlled teal palette, editorial photography standards.
The result: a self-sufficient system that scales without a full-time design team.
Intentional work. Every piece has a purpose.
