Most teams hire a designer, then a developer, then hope the two understand each other. I do both.
I'm Richard, a product designer and software developer. For this project I designed and built a complete AI-powered study app: the product thinking, the UI/UX, the frontend, the backend, and the AI layer.
What I delivered
Clean, dark/light-ready interface designed around how people actually read and study
Full-stack build with a React frontend and a Node/Express backend
An AI layer that gives context-aware answers and handles follow-up questions
A reasoning layer that decides how much context each question needs, so answers stay focused and API costs stay low
Voice-to-text input, multi-source data lookups and a saved-history feature
Packaged for Android with Capacitor
What I can do for you
Product design: UX flows, UI systems, prototypes (Figma, Framer)
Front-end and full-stack development: React, JavaScript, Node.js, Supabase, Shopify Liquid
Mobile apps and web apps, from first sketch to live deployment
AI features: chat assistants, smart search, voice input
Experience across fintech, hospitality, beauty, furniture and apparel
You get one person who designs it, builds it and ships it, with no handoff gaps and faster delivery.
Have an idea or a product that needs to go live? Message me on Contra and tell me what you're building. I'll tell you how I'd approach it.
