I recently went back to study design from the foundations again not trends, not tools… the real basics 🧠📚
And one idea hit me hard:
🎨 Art expresses.
🛠️ Design solves.
Art can be confusing on purpose 🤔
Design cannot ❌
Art can prioritize emotion ❤️
Design must prioritize clarity first 🔍
As UI designers, we often use colors, typography, spacing, motion… all artistic tools.
But our responsibility is different.
We’re not creating something to be admired.
We’re creating something to be understood.
If a user hesitates…
If they guess…
If they feel unsure…
The design has already failed no matter how beautiful it looks.
So I’m relearning the foundations to design with more intention, not just aesthetics ✍🏽✨
UI design is not art.
It borrows art but it serves people.
Back to the basics.

When working on the landing page for the golf club, our goal was to create an experience that reflects the nature of the sport itself — calm, precise, and intentional. Many sports websites rely on dense layouts and heavy UI patterns, but golf lives in space and rhythm, so the interface needed to feel the same way

Really nice visual direction — the contrast + atmosphere feel very polished.
From a UX perspective, I especially like how the onboarding screen feels calm instead of “system heavy”. Curious — was the goal more emotional branding or conversion optimization?
