One thing became obvious: people donāt choose between WordPress and Framerā¦ They choose based on what feels easier right now.
Not what theyāll need in 6ā12 months.
āļøAnd thatās where problems start.
Framer feels amazing at the beginning:
- fast to launch
- clean UI
- no complexity
But growth introduces friction:
- custom features
- integrations
- scalability limits
WordPress feels heavier upfront:
- setup
- structure
- decisions
But later?
- more control
- more flexibility
- fewer hard limits
š The real mistake isnāt choosing WordPress or Framer. Itās choosing without a time horizon.
So hereās a harder question:
š Are you building for:
- the next 2 weeks
or
- the next 2 years?
Because your answer already decides the tool.
I used Wordpress for 10 years and 1 day using Framer made me question them years.
I instantly switched.
The thought of going back to Wordpress makes me cringe to be honest.
With the design capabilities and speed Framer is advancing

Client asked for a few website tweaks. We said no. š
Their Wix site was outdated. The identity didn't match who they are.
So we proposed something else: full visual refresh + Webflow rebuild.
ā¦ Updated logo with Writer typeface (French Renaissance vibes)
ā¦ New color palette & creative direction
ā¦ Complete site migration and design from Wix to Webflow
Not the biggest budget. But enough to do it right.
Sometimes the job isn't delivering what clients ask for it's suggesting what they actually need.
