SaaS products can be complex. The video doesn’t have to be.
I turned a product workflow into a clear, engaging motion story - combining UI animation, motion graphics, and smooth transitions to make the value instantly understandable.
How do you usually kick off a project like this, script and voiceover first, or do you block out the motion before locking the narrative? The transitions here are really smooth.
Usually, I start with the script and voiceover, so they set the rhythm and give the motion a clear purpose.
Then I build the visual direction and storyboard before touching the final animation. This way, every transition supports the story instead of just looking smooth.
A continuation of the visual direction for an upcoming SaaS motion campaign 🚀
As an Art Director and Motion Designer on this project, my main focus isn't just creating appealing 3D assets, but making sure the visual system clearly reflects the product's core value.
In these stills, I'm visualizing automated AI workflows and interactive prompts using a light, tactile aesthetic to lower cognitive load. Good motion design should simplify the product narrative and ultimately turn viewers into signups.
A re-imagined version of ermia ramez's youtube short film paired with cinematic subtitles and premium animations to drive the viewers attention throughout the story
Using subtitles as part of the visual storytelling is an interesting direction. How do you decide when they should animate and when they should stay still for readability?
