Built a project & task management dashboard last week — WorkNest.
Teams needed a clean way to create projects, track tasks, and actually see progress instead of guessing. So that's what I focused on.
Built with React + Node/Express + MongoDB, secure auth, an admin panel, and a small analytics view (weekly activity + task status charts) that makes the dashboard feel alive instead of static.
The tricky part wasn't the CRUD — it was getting the stats to update in real time without over-fetching. Took some trial and error to get the caching right.
Open to building similar dashboards if you need one people actually want to open every morning.
