Most businesses do not need an AI chatbot. They need fewer repetitive tasks. That’s the biggest thing I realized while building AI automation systems. A lot of founders think adding ChatGPT to their website magically improves operations. It doesn’t. If the workflow behind the business is already broken, AI only makes the chaos faster.
I’ve seen businesses:
1. manually copy leads between apps,
2. answer the same customer questions 100 times,
3. lose leads because nobody replied on time,
4. spend hours searching documentation, and then ask for an “AI solution.”
The problem usually is not intelligence. The problem is workflow design.
The best AI systems are not the flashiest ones.
They are the systems that: reduce response time, remove repetitive work, improve lead conversion and save hours every week.
That’s why I focus more on: automation architecture, AI workflows, API integrations, retrieval systems and production reliability instead of building “cool demos.”
Connecting an OpenAI API is easy. Building an AI system that businesses can actually depend on every day is the hard part.
And honestly, most AI agencies completely ignore that part.
