Stocky shuts down August 31st - most brands are solving the wrong problem.
Three months ago I flagged that Stocky's shutdown wasn't really a "which tool replaces it" question, it was a "why are we only finding out about stockouts after they happen" question.
With three weeks left, most brands migrating are picking whatever alternative has the best AI-forecasting pitch. Understandable after years of Stocky's basic math. But a smarter engine doesn't fix reorder logic that was never actually defined in the first place, it just makes the same bad call faster and with more confidence.
The brands ahead of this spent the last three months defining what their reorder logic should be, then chose a tool to hold that logic, not the reverse.
Whatever you land on after the 31st is what your reorder decisions run on for the rest of the year. Worth getting right before Q4 spend depends on it.
If you're mid-migration: are you rebuilding the logic, or just handing your old assumptions to a smarter tool?
