Showkonnect – External App Testing & Engagement Team
I had the opportunity to contribute to the early-stage growth of Showkonnect, a Nigerian Event and Entertainment Marketplace that connects talented entertainers — DJs, artists, influencers, hype men, instrumentalists, videographers, dancers, producers, and bands — with employers across venues like lounges, clubs, hotels, bars, and churches.
As part of the External App Testing & Engagement Team, my role sat at the intersection of community building, quality assurance, and grassroots marketing. Key contributions included:
Platform Testing – Identifying and reporting bugs and usability issues to help the team resolve problems before wider scaling.
Community Engagement – Driving daily activity on the app's Home Feed through posting, commenting, liking, and sharing to keep the platform lively and attractive to new users.
Marketplace Activation – Engaging vendors and applying to job listings to simulate real platform activity and stimulate organic growth.
External Promotion – Amplifying Showkonnect's reach by sharing promotional content via WhatsApp Status and other social handles.
User Acquisition – Recruiting new users and encouraging sign-ups, downloads, and participation in trending conversations.
This role gave me hands-on experience in pre-launch product testing, digital community management, and organic growth strategies within the Nigerian entertainment industry.

This visual is a sophisticated example of personal branding that effectively balances technical skill with an editorial aesthetic. It functions as a "digital business card," positioning the creator as both a visionary and a technician in the design space.
Key Design Pillars
High-End Minimalism: By utilizing a "dark mode" foundation, the design taps into modern tech aesthetics (UI/UX) while the low-key studio lighting on the portrait provides a high-end, cinematic quality.
Intentional Hierarchy: The layout uses a clear typographic hierarchy. The eye starts at the bold "Creative Visuals," moves to the illuminated "Believe" brand name, and settles on the specific service offerings.
Textural Contrast: The sharp, clean lines of the typography contrast with the soft, diffused glow of the amber light and the subtle glassmorphism of the geometric element in the corner. This creates a sense of depth and tactile quality.
Brand Communication
The image doesn't just list services; it communicates a professional identity. The direct gaze of the portrait establishes trust and personability, while the overall "glass and light" styling suggests a mastery of modern design tools and trends. It is a concise, high-impact piece of visual communication designed to signal authority in the creative industry.
