Cover image for Showmax Ghana and Namibia Profile
Showmax Ghana and Namibia Profile Image Designs Designed distinct Showmax logos for Ghana and Namibia, using AI to explore relevant motifs while maintaining brand consistency. Delivered market-tailored assets that strengthened engagement in both regions. Problem: Showmax needed localized logos for Ghana and Namibia to resonate with each market’s cultural identity, but global brand guidelines required consistency. The challenge: balance regional relevance with a unified brand look. Key Pain Points: Ghana: Design needed to incorporate the Ghanaian flag to resonate with the local audience. Namibia: Design needed to feature the Namibian flag to connect with the local audience. Adherence to strict global brand constraints, including logo usage. Solution: Created two custom logo sets using AI-assisted exploration and manual refinement. Infused bokeh and shimmering effects to brighten up the designs. Retouched the concepts in Adobe Photoshop to create the final logos. Process Highlights: AI (Firefly) → 10+ concept variations → Shortlist → Refine in Adobe Photoshop while adding additional detail → Client feedback → Finalise. Reduced design time by 40% with AI-driven ideation. Outcome: Delivered logos that achieved 100% approval from local teams and aligned with global brand standards. The designs were rolled out across social media pages on Facebook, Instagram and X.

Cover image for Showmax Africa: Social Media Brand
Showmax Africa: Social Media Brand Development Showmax is a leading streaming service under the MultiChoice Group, available in 44 Sub-Saharan African countries. It offers a unique blend of international films, series, and kids’ programming, while placing African storytelling at its core. With additional access to live sports, including Premier League football, Showmax delivers a platform that bridges global entertainment with the richness of African culture. My Role: I was part of the design team responsible for shaping Showmax Africa’s social media presence across 16+ Sub-Saharan markets, including South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, Uganda, Mozambique, Namibia, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Liberia. My contributions included designing responsive social covers and profile images for these markets and collaborating with fellow designers and content teams to establish brand guidelines. These assets are actively used across Showmax’s official platforms on Facebook, Instagram and X, ensuring consistent logo placement, cohesive branding, and a unified identity across diverse regions. Why Social Media Matters: For a streaming service, social media is one of the most important touchpoints with audiences. It is where new viewers discover the brand and where loyal fans stay engaged. Consistent, well-designed visuals, including profile and cover images and campaign templates, strengthen recognition, build trust, and give Showmax a clear identity in crowded digital spaces. By creating templates and guidelines, we equipped content teams across 16+ African countries to scale campaigns efficiently while maintaining a strong, unified brand presence that reflects both global standards and authentic African storytelling.

Cover image for Showmax Tanzania Shaka Ilembe Post
For
Showmax Tanzania Shaka Ilembe Post For Showmax Tanzania's Women's Month campaign, I designed a vibrant, ethereal image of Nandi from Shaka Ilembe, surrounded by pink clouds and glitter. The goal was to commemorate Women's Month as well as promote the show in a bold manner that connected with the audience. Problem: Showmax Tanzania needed a visually engaging social media post of Nandi to celebrate International Women's Month. The design had to stand out on social media and resonate with the audience. Solution: I used Adobe Firefly’s generative AI to create the pink clouds, then imported them into Photoshop for retouching. I adjusted the colour saturation, blended the edges, and added subtle gradients to create a dreamy effect. I combined the retouched clouds with the original image of Nandi, using color grading to ensure her figure harmonized with the pink background. I also added glitter effects and other ethereal elements to enhance the overall impact of the design. After completing this step, I integrated the text to finalise the concept. Outcome: The design was noted for its visual effect and beauty, thus a standout in Showmax Tanzania's Women's Day campaign. It succeeded in capturing attention, increasing brand recognition, and adding to the campaign's overall engagement.
