Cover image for Hello 20 started because I
Hello 20 started because I had a lot to say about being twenty-something and nowhere to put it that wasn't a tweet that would age badly. Now it's a podcast with listeners in six countries and a nomination at the African Podcasters and Voice Artists Awards, and I still can't quite believe showed up every week to hear my guests am I think out loud. THOUGHT PROCESS: I didn't start Hello 20 with a content calendar or a growth plan. I started it because the conversations I was already having with friends, about money, relationships, ambition, the specific chaos of being young in Nigeria right now, were better than most of what I was hearing on bigger platforms. So I just turned the mic on for the conversations I was already having. The growth showed up as a side effect of not performing for anyone. People can tell when a podcast is built for an algorithm versus built because the host actually needed to say the thing. I'd like to think Hello 20 sounds like the second one, every time. THE RESULT : 5,150+ LISTENERS 6 COUNTRIES ★ APVA NOMINATION

Cover image for A live, moderated X Space
A live, moderated X Space I built from scratch. Lawyers on one side, Nigerian Twitter’s sharpest voices on the other, arguing about the law in real time. THOUGHT PROCESS: Legal content on Nigerian Twitter is usually one of two things: a lawyer explaining something correctly to an audience of other lawyers, or a non-lawyer getting something confidently wrong to an audience that believes them. Nobody was putting both rooms in the same conversation. I wanted to know what happens if you do, on purpose, live, with no script to hide behind. So the premise wasn’t a panel. Panels are polite. I built a debate, gave it a slightly provocative title, and invited people I knew would actually disagree with each other instead of nodding along for an hour. It pulled close to 4,000 live listeners with zero paid spend. The days after were better than the night itself: a real jump in followers and product signups, all from people who showed up because the conversation was actually good, not because an ad told them to.
