As I’ve been refining my approach to SEO and GEO audits, one thing has become increasingly clear: More findings don’t automatically create more value. An audit can identify 60 problems and still leave the client wondering what to do on Monday morning. The real value is in the order: Fix access and indexation. Clarify the website’s structure and meaning. Improve the content people are already looking for. Strengthen the signals that build search and AI authority. The goal isn’t to make the problem look complicated. It’s to make the next move clear.

I built websites for two years and got nowhere. Not because the work was bad. Because nobody saw it. I had no money for ads. I was too introverted to post. So the work just sat there, finished and invisible. That's when it clicked. Being good at something and being found for it are two completely different problems, and I'd only solved one. So I went the other way. Learned how search actually decides who gets seen. Then AI search showed up and changed the rules again, and I went deep on that too. That's what BORVIS is now. I help brands get found in Google and in AI answers, because I spent two years learning exactly what it costs when you're not.

A beautiful website can still go unnoticed. Design shapes what people think once they arrive. Search visibility determines whether they arrive at all. If the structure is unclear, pages aren’t indexed properly, or Google can’t understand what the site offers, even great design can struggle to earn traffic. Worth asking: does your website just look good, or is it easy to find too?

Cover image for This perspective came from auditing
This perspective came from auditing real sitemaps containing useful pages alongside archives, test content, utility pages and low-value URLs. Large URL counts often made the site appear more complete while giving crawlers an unclear picture of what actually mattered. Our approach treats the sitemap as a curated priority map. It should surface valuable, canonical and indexable pages while excluding URLs that serve administrative or temporary purposes. This creates a cleaner relationship between site structure, internal linking and indexation, while helping teams protect important pages during redesigns, migrations and future content expansion.
