FOLIO ā Build Your Portfolio in Minutes with AI. As a designer and builder but most importantly a student myself, I saw the issue with portfolios: the students who need portfolios the most find the process the most overwhelming. That frustration became FOLIO, an AI-powered portfolio builder that takes a student from zero to a shareable personal website in under ten minutes. The concept:: FOLIO runs across a single guided flow: a AI chatbot asks you a few questions, you upload your project images, you pick a vibe from four animated orb characters, the AI synthesizes everything, and your portfolio is live with a QR code ready to share. The orbs are not decorative. Each one represents a distinct aesthetic personality and selecting one shifts the entire visual environment of your generated portfolio. The background washes to match. The typography shifts. The colour system adapts. How Stitch fits into the workflow:: I started with a hand-drawn wireframe, six screens sketched, and imported that directly into Stitch as my layout reference. That initial prototyping phase is where Stitch truly stood out. It did not just generate screens off my sketches accurately, it helped me understand what my own ideas actually looked like. I could see instantly what was working, what needed rethinking, and where the vision needed pushing further. That feedback loop in the early ideation stage was invaluable. From there I used in-place AI edits to refine individual elements without rebuilding screens. I could select the hero orb and prompt it to breathe and morph. I could isolate the chatbot bubbles and shift their palette. I could make the vibe selection screen feel more alive without touching anything that was already working. Finally, I exported the HTML Code to Claude & tweaked for some final animations. When I was satisfied with the result, I shipped it over to vercel to get it live. There were many new stitch features I leaned on:: š Imported hand-drawn wireframe as layout reference š Streaming generations directly to the canvas ā© In-place AI edits to refine without rebuilding š Export-ready workflow to push to other platforms (Claude & Vercel!) Feedback on Stitch:: The in-place edit workflow changed how I worked. Most AI tools force you to start over or accept what was generated. Stitch let me preserve what was working and refine what was not, which is how design should truly behave; actively. Where I would love to see Stitch go further is animation. The motion capabilities are a strong foundation but more granular control over timing, easing, and spring physics directly on the canvas would make it significantly more powerful for experience-driven projects like this one. More animation primitives natively in Stitch would unlock a whole category of work that currently requires exporting to code. This was an amazing challenge and I had so much fun exploring new things with Stitch!
