From a curious student to an AI Engineer — here's my honest journey. 🚀
When I enrolled at Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (https://www.linkedin.com/company/khawaja-fareed-university-of-engineering-&-information-technology/) (KFUEIT) for BS Artificial Intelligence, I made a decision — this field is where I belong.
But honestly? For the first few semesters, AI felt like a distant concept. Theory, mathematics, algorithms — interesting, but not yet real.
Then came 5th semester.
National Vocational and Technical Training Commission NAVTTC (https://www.linkedin.com/company/navttcofficial/) (NAVTTC) offered a hands-on AI & Machine Learning course. I almost didn't take it. I'm glad I did.
That course changed everything.
For the first time, I wasn't just reading about machine learning — I was building it. Models were training. Predictions were happening. Data was turning into intelligence.
Something clicked. 💡
From that moment, I stopped waiting for opportunities and started creating them:
🔹 Built a RAG-powered chatbot using GPT-4, Gemini & LangChain — handling 100+ documents with sub-3-second responses
🔹 Engineered a Brain Tumor Detection system using YOLOv8 — deployed live on Streamlit
🔹 Developed a full-stack SaaS MVP — from concept to deployment in one week
🔹 Earned Oracle (https://www.linkedin.com/company/oracle/) Cloud Infrastructure 2025 Certification — among the first in my cohort
Today, I'm working as an AI Engineer at Virtual Soft (https://www.linkedin.com/company/flutterexpert-com/), building real-world AI systems every day.
The journey from "AI sounds interesting" to "I build AI systems" wasn't overnight. It took one course, one click, and a decision to never stop building.
