Roots: see your haircut before you sit down A Latvian AI receptionist that says it's AI up front Liepa Dental: a phone line that books its own appointments Liepa Dental Clinic - Brivibas iela 100, Riga.
Three treatment chairs - three dentists, two hygienists and three assistants - eight people rotating through them, and nobody whose
only job is the phone. A dentist works with an assistant, so a full chair
takes two people off the floor. Calls land while the person who would answer
is gloved and leaning over a patient - so they go unanswered and turn into
queues. Unconfirmed appointments become no-shows, and a chair that empties at
short notice stays empty because nobody has time to refill it.
So I built two front doors into one calendar.
On the website, every time shown is a chair that is genuinely free -
availability is computed from the live calendar, never stored. On the phone, a
voice agent calls the same API, so it cannot offer a slot the website has
already given away. Phone number and national ID go in on the keypad, never
through speech-to-text, and the ID number is never written to the calendar -
only the fact that it was checked.
Every working day at 15:00 the clinic gets tomorrow in one list, and every
patient on it gets one message with two answers. "I cannot make it" puts the
chair back on the website instantly, with nobody at the front desk involved.
Lovable for the public site and the clinic's own day view, n8n for the logic
(5 workflows, 60 nodes), Vapi for the phone line, one Google Calendar
underneath all of it. Nothing is mocked - every booking in the demo went
through the live API.
