Project Description: Sam Gordon — Modern Performance Site: https://apricot-impala-y555.squarespace.com/ Pass: 12345 Concept: A digital home for elite personal trainer Sam Gordon. The goal was to create a high-impact, cinematic web experience that mirrors the discipline and energy of a professional training environment. Using a bold "Modern Performance" aesthetic with neon lime accents on a dark industrial palette, the site bridges the gap between personal coaching and a high-end digital course. How Finish Layer Tools Were Used: To achieve this professional polish without custom code, I utilized the Finish Layer suite across all three pages: Stacks: Crucial for the "Services" and "Testimonials" sections. Stacks allowed me to group service cards and client reviews perfectly, ensuring that the complex layouts remained visually consistent and structurally sound across both desktop and mobile views. Block Transforms: I used subtle rotation and offset on background elements and accent shapes to break the standard grid. This created a dynamic, asymmetrical look that feels modern and athletic, moving away from a traditional "template" feel. Block Animations: To bring the site to life, I implemented scroll-based animations. Headlines and high-action imagery (like Sam spotting a client) fade and slide into place as the user explores, creating a guided, immersive storytelling experience. Design Decisions & UX: Responsive Design: Significant focus was placed on mobile optimization. By using Stacks and fluid layouts, the intense visual energy of the desktop version translates seamlessly to the mobile experience, keeping the call-to-action forms accessible and prominent. Visual Polish: The high-contrast color scheme combined with cinematic photography (generated for the brand) creates an immediate sense of authority and elite status. @Squarespace

Human by Design was the core idea behind this project. I started with Envato’s stock assets and AI tools to build a coworking space concept, but the real value came from human judgment — choosing what felt too generic, redefining the mood, and shaping the office into a space that feels warm, casual, and lived in. I used AI to explore ideas, but I relied on my own taste to direct the outcome, refine the logo, adjust the visuals, and create a more natural and emotionally believable result. In the end, this project shows how Envato can support creativity at every stage, while the human behind the work gives it meaning. @Envato
